2024-09-02Important Notice and Apology Regarding Potential Unauthorized Access to Accommodation Reservation and Sales Management System
We have been informed by our system vendor (hereinafter referred to as “the contractor”) that fraudulent
third-party logins to our accommodation reservation and sales management system (hereinafter referred to as
“the System”) have been detected for our dormy inn Higashimuroran property. These logins may have resulted
in unauthorized access to the reservation information of some guests who booked through online reservation
sites.
The details are still under investigation, but we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or distress this issue
may have caused our valued guests.
1. Overview
The contractor’s investigation has confirmed unauthorized access to personal data entrusted to it through the
System. Some personal data was exported in CSV format, which is believed to be an attempt by the
unauthorized party to steal information.
2. Investigation Details
The unauthorized access detected by the contractor is as follows:
(Investigation period: May 1, 2024 – August 1, 2024)
Dates: May 29, 2024, and June 29, 2024
Affected: Guests who made reservations through online booking sites with check-in dates between May 28,
2024, and November 28, 2024
Compromised guest information: Booking name, guest name(s), phone number, email address, age, gender,
and stay-related information (Please note that credit card numbers were not included.)
3. To our customers
Regarding this matter, we will not send you any individual requests or confirmation emails.
If you receive a suspicious contact using our company name, please do not respond.
Please note that we will never ask for your credit card number, etc.

4. Actions to Prevent Recurrence
We are currently working closely with the relevant authorities to investigate the cause and take necessary
measures to prevent any recurrence of such an incident.
Again, we sincerely apologize for the significant inconvenience and concern this may have caused to our
guests.
